About Me

Who am I?

My name is Yann Schilliger; I’m 18 years old and I’m from Lucerne. Photography has been a part of my life for several years now, and for me, it has long been more than just a hobby. Over time, I’ve learned that good photography depends not only on the subject, but just as much on proper planning, technique, and, above all, patience. It is precisely this combination that makes photography so appealing to me and motivates me to keep improving.

I especially enjoy photographing landscapes, animals, people, and small details in nature. I like to capture moments as naturally as possible and avoid heavy editing. What matters most to me are good lighting, the right perspective, and a sharp image. Whether it’s early in the morning in the mountains, out and about in the city, or during a portrait shoot, I’m happy to take the time needed until the photo feels just right to me.

My photos are meant to show that even simple situations can be exciting if you look at them the right way. For me, it’s not the number of photos that matters, but the quality of each individual image.

My Equipment
For my photography, I use the Canon EOS R7. It’s versatile and works especially well for wildlife photography, landscapes, and fast-moving subjects. I particularly appreciate its flexibility and the ability to capture even the smallest details clearly.

The lenses I use are:
– RF 200–800mm for wildlife and nature photography at long distances
– RF 100–400mm for sports and dynamic subjects
– RF 100mm Macro for fine details and close-ups
– RF 24–105mm for versatile use and everyday situations
– RF 50mm for portraits with natural depth of field
– RF 18–45mm as a lightweight all-around lens for travel
– RF 16mm for wide landscapes and architecture
