About Me

Who am I?

My name is Yann Schilliger; I'm 18 years old and I'm from Lucerne. I've been into photography for several years now, and for me, it's more than just a hobby. Over time, I've learned that taking good photos depends not only on the subject, but above all on planning, technique, and patience.

I am particularly fascinated by landscapes, animals, people, and the small details of nature. I strive to capture moments exactly as they are — natural, serene, and without excessive editing. It’s important to me that every image has a clear structure and stands out through sharpness, light, and perspective. Whether early in the morning in the mountains, in the heart of the city, or during a portrait shoot: I take my time to capture the right moment.

My photos are meant to show that even simple situations can be exciting if you look at them the right way. For me, it’s not the number of photos that matters, but the quality of each individual image.

My Equipment
For my work, I use two cameras: the Canon EOS R7 and the Canon EOS R6 Mark II. This combination allows me to respond flexibly to any Situation — from fast-moving action to precise close-ups.

The lenses I use are:
RF 200–800mm for wildlife and nature photography at long distances
RF 100–400mm for sports and dynamic subjects
RF 100mm Macro for fine details and close-ups
RF 24–105mm for versatile use and everyday situations
RF 50mm for portraits with natural depth of field
RF 18–45mm as a lightweight all-around lens for travel
RF 16mm for wide landscapes and architecture
